Xtreme Ministries T-Shirts

Photoshop CS4, Logo Creation, Design, T-shirt

Created this t-shirt design as our Xtreme Student Ministrie's first t-shirt EVER! I had support during this late project night from Pastor Shawny and Reverend Michael. There are a lot of symbols or phrases that mean a lot to our church within this t-shirt. One is the compass on the sleeve, others are the foot prints, butterfly, map, the xtreme logo, and under the globe it says "praise 'em!" Which speaks for itself if you ask me, Praise Him!

1st Portfolio Layout

Adobe Photoshop CS2

One of my first Web Design and Interactive Media class was a Adobe Director class. Director is software, almost like flash, except instead of designing applications for the web. The main focus for adobe director is designing applications for a cd-rom. This layout was one of my favorites and I spent a lot of time on it. This city of Houston sits in the background with a stary-night background following it. I would show you the entire project, but it only works as a bootable CD-ROM.

New Business Cards

Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Logo Creation

These are my new business cards that I will be using at the portfolio show in December. I wanted my business card and my website to match eachother. I had already designed this current layout. I just went off the layout for my business card design. I used the same background as the background on my website. One of my friends told me my business card looks like "expensive chocolate". If you want to hire me to make your next candy wrapper... E-mail me!

James Funeral Card

Adobe Photoshop CS4

This concept was created with my friend Mike Martinez who is graduating in graphic design with me at The Art Institute of Houston. He is a family friend and we were asked to make his funeral cards to hand out to everybody. You would of had to know the guy to understand why the funeral cards are not your average type of funeral card. We designed them for something we know he would of loved. He was young spirited and moved tattoos, he is missed very much so.

Xtreme Beaker Logo

Adobe Illustrator CS4

This was a quick idea a few of of us had one night while brainstorming a brand for the youth group. I believe the scripture we were using for this was Luke 6:3 which reads, "Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure-- pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." This was just a quick concept that was done using a bit of creativity and the live trace tool. I altered the illustration a lot after the live trace tool was used.

I Miss My Momo

Adobe Photoshop CS2

This is another project that is suppose to resemble a collage of a part of my past time, for Digital Imaging II. Every object you see on here, from the newspaper clipping to the rose is all objects that I physically scanned with my at-home scanner. I used a rose that I've saved for a long time since her funeral. Eva G. Cruz, was my grandmother who battled 18 years of a disease called Schleraderma.

The art history brush in Photoshop is a fun tool that Adobe has implemented into the program. This began as a regular photo, but the results changed dramatically after use of the new tool.

Brazil travel website was a project for a CSS class that I had taken last year in 2008. The assignment was to choose a city/country/area and create a website over it, for people wanting to visit the area. The Jquery menu has several bugs and only works in firefox. I plan on taking this down sooner than later.

About Me Concept

Adobe Photoshop CS2

This was going to be an old layout for a personal homepage of mine, but I never got to around to finishing it. All I salvaged were the graphics, which I really liked. The black squares are where all the content was to be displayed.

Panoramic Photography

Adobe Photoshop CS2

I created this graphic in Digital Imaging I we were suppose to use the photomerge tool in photoshop. I originally took about fifteen photos walking down my backyard to get this photo, and pasted them together. It's better to do this indoors because as you can tell, objects move very randomly outdoors.
